A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY. SALT LAKE COUNTY,
STATE OF UTAH, TO CONSTRUCT A SANITARY SEWER LINE CON-
SISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 175 FEET OF 12-INCH AND 3,387
FEET OF 8-INCH SEWER PIPE, INCLUDING WYES, MANHOLES AND
FLUSHTANKS; TO CREATE A SPECIAL SEWER EXTENSION DISTRICT
NO. 922 IN SAID CITY; TO DEFRAY THE COST AND EXPENSES
OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO BE LEVIED
AGAINST THE PROPERTY BENEFITED BY SUCH IMPROVEMENTS;
PROVIDING FOR A NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AUTHORIZE SUCH
SEWER EXTENSION DISTRICT AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
PROTESTS AGAINST SUCH IMPROVEMENTS OR THE CREATION OF
SUCH SEWER EXTENSION SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, SALT
LAKE COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH:
SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake
County, Utah, has determined and hereby determines that it will be in the
best interest of s aid City to construct a sanitary sewer line, as speci-
fied on the plans, specifications and profiles on file in the office of
the City Engineer, the said streets to be improved and the boundaries of
said Sewer Extension No. 922, all more particularly described in the
Notice of Intention to construct the proposed improvements hereinafter
set forth:
SECTION 2. The proposed district shall be known as SANITARY SEWER
EXTENSION NO. 922, of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah:
SECTION 3. The City shall pay the cost and expenses of improvements
to be constructed on streets and avenues on property owned by said City.
Such part of the cost and expenses of the proposed improvements as is not
paid by the City shall be assessed against the lots and lands adjoining,
abutting, contiguous or adjacent to the proposed improvements.
SECTION 4. Written protests against the proposed improvements or
against the creation of said district must be presented and filed in the
office of the City Recorder on or before the 30th day of t=arch

1965, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P .M. and on the 31st

day of , 1965, at the hour of o'clock
A /M., at the City Hall of said City such protests shall be heard
and considered by the Board of Commissioners. The City Recorder is
hereby directed to give notice of intention to make the proposed
improvement and of the time within which protests against the proposed
improvements or the creation of said district may be filed, and the
date when such protests will be heard and considered by publication in
a newspaper having general circulation in Salt Lake City, said publi-
cation to be in three (3) consecutive issues of said newspaper, the
first publication to be not less than twenty (20) days prior to the
date fixed for the first meeting of the Board of Commissioners, and
by mailing said notice by United States Mail, postage prepaid, to the
owners of the property affected by, or specially benefited by, such
improvement as said property is described in said notice, insofar as
the names and addresses of said owners can be ascertained from the
most recent available county assessment books and addressed to owners
as provided by ordinance. Said notices shall be mailed not less than
twenty-one (21) days prior to the date when protests shall be heard
and considered by the Board of Commissioners. The City Recorder shall
have on file in his office a copy of the Notice of Intention for the
examination of any interested parties, a copy of which notice is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
City Commissioner Conrad E. Harrison thereupon moved
that the Board of Commissioners adopt the foregoing resolution. The
resolution was thereupon put to a vote and unanimously adopted on
the following recorded vote:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, of the intention of such Board of Commissioners to make the follow-
ing described improvements, to wit:
To construct a sanitary sewer line consisting of approximately 175
feet of 12-inch and 3,387 feet of 8-inch sewer pipe, including wyes,
manholes and flushtanks, all complete and in accordance with plans, pro-
files and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer. This
extension shall be constructed within the following described area and
boundaries and on the following described streets:
AREA:
Blocks 1 and 2, Glendale Garden Plat "C", Blocks 2 to
4 inclusive, New England Addition, and Block 8,
Burlington Place Addition, all in Section No. 11, Town-
ship 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian,
also Blocks 7 and 8, First Burlington Addition, Section
No. 10, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base
and Meridian; also Blocks 1 and 2, South Salt Lake
Subdivision, Section No. 14, Township 1 South, Range
1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian.
BOUNDARIES:
NORTH - Hayes Avenue
SOUTH - Hope Avenue
EAST - Jordan River
WEST - Pueblo Street
STREETS:
Along the following named streets the abutting property will
be assessed for the total cost of constructing a 12-inch or 8-inch sanitary
sewer, together with wyes, manholes and flushtanks and other incidental
costs at the herein below estimated cost per front foot of abutting property:
12th West Street - North side, west from Concord Avenue,
160.49 feet.
12th West Street - South side, west from Concord Avenue,
198.92 feet.
Concord Avenue - West side, south from Lexington Avenue
457 feet, and north from Lexington Avenue 259 feet.
Concord Avenue - East side, south from Lexington Avenue
526 feet and north from Lexington Avenue 287 feet.
llth West Street - West side, south from Lexington Avenue
602 feet and north from Lexington Avenue 169 feet, also
south from California Avenue 231 feet.
llth West Street - East side, south from Lexington Avenue

A public alley between California Avenue and 13th South

All other necessary construction shall be done to complete the whole
project in a proper and workmanlike manner. All work shall be done accord-
ing to plans, profiles and specifications that are on file in the office
of the City Engineer, Room 401, City and County Building.
Abutter's cost and expenses for said improvements shall be defrayed
by special tax or assessment to be paid in five (5) equal annual install-
ments, plus five per cent (5%) interest on the unpaid balance levied
according to the front or linear feet of frontage upon and against all lots,
pieces or parcels of land to be benefited and affected by said improvements.
The whole amount of the tax may be paid without interest within a
period of fifteen (15) days after notice to the taxpayer by the Salt Lake
Treasurer of the amount due.
Where exemptions are to be made for corner lots, the exemptions shall
be as defined and provided for in the Salt Lake City ordinance.
AllIprotests and objections to the carrying out of such intention
must be presented in writing, stating therein, lot and block or description
of property, to the City Recorder on or before the 30th day of
March 1965.

The Board of Commissioners at its first regular meeting thereafter,
to wit, the 31st day of March , 1965, will consider
the proposed levy and hear and consider such protests and objections to
said proposed improvements as shall have been made.
