Hunter was employed by Salt Lake City for a period of more than 23 years, serving as budget director in the Department of Public Safety from September 16, 1944 until the year 1966, and thereafter as budget director in the Parks Department until his voluntary retirement at the end of 1967; and WHEREAS, during his long tenure of service he has served with fidelity and distinction, and capably discharged his duties as budget director; and WHEREAS, through his faithful and careful attention to his duties he has rendered valuable service to the City and its inhabitants: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board, in its own behalf, and in behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, does hereby express to Mr. Hunter sincere appreciation and gratitude for the devoted service he has rendered to Salt Lake City. Said Board extends its best wishes to him for happiness and satisfaction during his years of retirement. The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver to Mr. Hunter a copy of this resolution.
