Greener COMMISSIONER Expressing appreciation and gratitude for service rendered by the Salt Lake County Fire, Flood Control and Civil Defense Departments in assisting im3. containing and controlling the Congre Hotel fire of December 8, 1975. ftlfaled w fir lard eFC neeS AND PASSED JAN 61976 CITY NEOOV I:1 �I i I II is ROLL CALL 'VOTII4G Aye Nay Salt Lake City,Utah, January 6 ,,19 76 Mr.Chairman l Greener ✓ I move that the Resolution be ado *spasm .6graz / i i : kbassi r.J;ogensen J / Phillips COL TION Result if OF APPRECIATION WHEREAS, on December 8, 1975, the Congress Hotel caught fire and burned, totally destroying the building; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake County Fire, Flood Control and Civil Defense Departments rendered assistance in the City's Congress Hotel fire on December 8, 1975, without which there may have been greater injury and possibly death as a result of said fire; and WHEREAS, because of the dedicated and noteworthy service of said Fire, Flood Control and Civil Defense of Salt Lake County, in the opinion of the Board of City Commissioners, they should be commended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, on behalf of themselves and all the residents of Salt Lake City, Utah, it does hereby express sincere appreciation and gratitude for the unselfish service rendered by the Salt kake County Fire, Flood Control and Civil Defense Departments in assisting in containing and controlling th Congress Hotel fire of December 8, 1975, and the Board hereby commends the aforesaid departments for their noteworthy service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the Resolution be delivered to the Salt Lake County Commissioners, the Salt Lake County Fire Department the Salt Lake County Flood Control Department and the Salt Lake County Civi Defense Department.
