RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION REDUCING APPROPRIATIONS
IN THE BUDGET OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,
1980 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1981
WHEREAS, The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, by
resolution adopted the budgets of Salt Lake City, Utah, for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, 1981, in
accordance with the requirements of Section 118 of Chapter 6,
Title 10, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Sections 10-6-133(1) and 59-9-7, Utah Code
Annotated, 1953, as amended, require that the City Council adopt
and set the property tax mill levy at a regularly-scheduled
meeting on or before the second Monday of August of each year;
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of Salt Lake City to
comply with such statutory mandate and to establish a 1980
property tax levy for General Fund purposes, in an amount not to
exceed its present levy; and
WHEREAS, in order to adopt said levy and to recognize
operational efficiencies realized since adoption of its budget,
the City desires to reduce its budgeted and projected
expenditures for fiscal year 1980-81; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Section
10-6-126, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended, each member of
the City Council has waived statutory notice of hearing to
consider said reductions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Salt Lake City Council
as follows:
1. That, in accordance with the provisions of Section
10-6-126, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended, the 1980-81
projected expenditures specified in the attached schedule are
hereby reduced in the amounts specified therein in the total
amount of $440,000.00.
2. That the Director of the Office of Budget and Management
Planning (acting as Budget Officer) be, and he hereby is,
authorized and directed to certify and convey this resolution to
the State Auditor to be filed with that officer with his copies
of the City's 1980-81 budget documents.
3. That the said Budget Officer be, and he hereby is
authorized and directed to certify and file a copy of this
resolution in the office of said Budget Officer, the Department
of Finance and Administrative Services, and in the office of the
City Recorder, with copies of the City's 1980-81 budget documents
to be open and available for public inspection.
Passed by the Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this

landfill operations.
