Josi for the ,,eried of one year, renewable and terminable at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners, to the following of"ect: The said Joel au an employee of the City Treasurer shall have general charge of the collection of the dog tax imposed by the ordinanoes of Salt Lake City. He shall impound unlicensed dogs, grant dog licenses, receive the fees for the same, which he shall forthwith report and pay over to the City Treasurer. lie shall furnish tags or checks to owners taking out licensee for dogs, and put to death unlicensed dogs in accordance with the city ordinances, and shall put to death cote when ordered to do so by the Board of Health. The said Joel shall bear all the expense ofcolleeting, impounding, feeding and killing unlicensed dogs. For his services as above set forth he shall receive from Salt Lake City, in monthly paykents, One ("1.00) Dollar for each male dog licensed in Salt Lake City during, the life of this c,mtract, One and 50/100 ("150) Dollats for each female dog so ]icensed, and fifty (500) cents for each dog or cat gat to death by him. All licenses and tags required b;, the said Joel under this contract shall be furnished by Salt Lake Oity. The said Joel shall give bond to Salt Lake City for the faith ful performance of his duties, and for the true soeounting and payer ment of moneys collected under this gp inntraot, the 7ym of $5,000.00.
