A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL SEAL AND EMBLEM
FOR THE SALT LAKE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Police Department and Salt Lake
City Corporation is desirous of adopting a certain seal as the
official seal and emblem of the Salt Lake City Police Department;
and
WHEREAS, such an emblem is of importance in presenting and
communicating in a positive manner a favorable public image for the
Salt Lake City Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, as follows:
SECTION 1. The offical emblem and seal of the Salt Lake City
Police Department is hereby approved and designated as that seal
design and artistic format shown on Exhibit "A", which exhibit is
attached hereto, and by this reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The Salt Lake City Police Department is hereby
authorized to use said emblem and seal design as set forth in
attached Exhibit "A" on all documents of the City Police Department
and on other items of property and under such other terms and
conditions as may be deemed appropriate by the Salt Lake City Police
Chief.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 28th day of August, 1973.
