Terren (Terry) Cole was a valued and trusted employee of Salt Lake City, serving as the City's Purchasing Agent for five and one-half years; and WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners, the employees and friends of Terry are saddened to learn of his passing from this life on August 2, 1976; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cole has devoted his life to public and community service, having served as a past president of the Consumer Finance Asso- ciation, the Salt Lake Industrial Bankers, and as a past member of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and in other civic positions; and WHEREAS, he has diligently served as an employee of the City, carefully evaluating and conserving expenditures for the City in his capacity as Purchasing Agent; and WHEREAS, he was respected, admired and loved by the residents of Salt Lake City, and his many friends and associates; and WHEREAS, in his passing, Salt Lake City has lost one of its most respected, trusted and loyal citizens. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, that the Commissioners do express on their own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, a profound sense of loss and their most sincere sympathy to Mr. Cole's family in their personal bereavement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the Family of Mr. J. Terren Cole, as a token of the City's sympathy and deep feeling of loss.
