52 of 1980 - RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION to James H. Budd for his service in the City's Traffic Violations Bureau RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, James H. Budd is retiring from Salt Lake City
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Jim's loss to the City will be deeply felt by the
City and its co-workers; and
WHEREAS, Jim Budd has been employed by Salt Lake City with
the Traffic Violations Bureau since January 18, 1959, becoming
Director of the Traffic Bureau on August 15, 1972; and
WHEREAS, Jim was most accomodating to his fellow workers;
and
WHEREAS, Jim was supervisor over an area that dealt with the
public on a continual daily basis as the public paid court fines
and bail forfeitures; and
WHEREAS, he trained his staff to treat the public with
courtesy and dignity in spite of the verbal abuse which some
members of the public gave his employees; and
WHEREAS, Jim's loss will be sorely felt by Salt Lake City
Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Salt Lake City Council and the Mayor of
Salt Lake City hereby join in behalf of themselves and the
citizens of Salt Lake City in expressing a resolution of
appreciation for the devoted and capable work James H. Budd
rendered to the City, and wish him well in his retirement and his
future activities.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 5th day of August , 1980.
