52 of 1980 - RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION to James H. Budd for his service in the City's Traffic Violations Bureau RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION WHEREAS, James H. Budd is retiring from Salt Lake City Corporation; and WHEREAS, Jim's loss to the City will be deeply felt by the City and its co-workers; and WHEREAS, Jim Budd has been employed by Salt Lake City with the Traffic Violations Bureau since January 18, 1959, becoming Director of the Traffic Bureau on August 15, 1972; and WHEREAS, Jim was most accomodating to his fellow workers; and WHEREAS, Jim was supervisor over an area that dealt with the public on a continual daily basis as the public paid court fines and bail forfeitures; and WHEREAS, he trained his staff to treat the public with courtesy and dignity in spite of the verbal abuse which some members of the public gave his employees; and WHEREAS, Jim's loss will be sorely felt by Salt Lake City Corporation; NOW, THEREFORE, the Salt Lake City Council and the Mayor of Salt Lake City hereby join in behalf of themselves and the citizens of Salt Lake City in expressing a resolution of appreciation for the devoted and capable work James H. Budd rendered to the City, and wish him well in his retirement and his future activities.
