Here Is a resolution adopted by the Salt Lake City Commission
commending you for your long and faithful service to Salt Lake City
and its citizens as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Sugar-
house Park Authority.

OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Richard S. Roberts has served as a member of the Board
of Trustees of the Sugarhouse Park Authority since its inception and
beginning on the llth day of July, 1957; and
WHEREAS, during his long 10 years of service on the Board of
Trustees he has been diligent and efficient in the discharge of his
duties and assignments and has served with fidelity, efficiency and
thoroughness thus rendering valuable service to Salt Lake City and
its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, he served on the park committee which formulated, planned
and developed the Sugarhouse Park Authority from 1955 to 1957, and has
a near perfect record of attendance at all committee meetings and park
functions; and
WHEREAS, he has now voluntarily retired from his assignment with
the Board of Trustees of Sugarhouse Park Authority because of failing
health:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY that it does hereby express to Richard S. Roberts sin-
cere and deep appreciation and gratitude for his long and faithful
service to Salt Lake City and its citizens. Said Board further ex-
presses its best wishes that he will find satisfaction and happiness
throughout the remainder of his life.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this
resolution to Mr. Roberts.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah
this 19th day of December, 1968.
