OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Leon A. Halgren has served as Assistant Salt Lake City
Attorney for the past eight years; and
WHEREAS, during those years of service he has distinguished him-
self as an excellent lawyer in the discharge of his duties thereby
rendering valuable service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, his professional services rendered on behalf of the Salt
Lake City Water Department have been particularly outstanding; and
WHEREAS, he is now voluntarily resigning from his position in the
City Attorney's office to undertake an important assignment on the staff
of the Utah Attorney General as of January 1, 1969;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY that it does hereby express to Leon A. Halgren its
sincere appreciation and gratitude for his faithful and competent ser-
vice to Salt Lake City and its citizens, and further expresses its
best wishes for his continued satisfaction and happiness in public
service.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this
resolution to Mr. Halgren.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah this
26th day of December, 1968.
