/s{ RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, M. Belle Rice has made a testamentary gift of
Fifty Thousand ($50,000) Dollars to Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, said gift is to be used to construct a picnic
terrace at Liberty Park in memory of her husband, Windsor Volney
Rice; and
WHEREAS, this picnic terrace will be of great use to the
residents of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the City deeply appreciates the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SALT LAKE
CITY COMMISSIONERS that it does hereby express to the surviving
heirs of M. Belle Rice, on behalf of the Board and on behalf of
the residents, its sincere appreciation and gratitude for this
fine contribution to Liberty Park. Said Board sincerely
appreciates this most generous and welcome gift.
