OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Mr. Charles W. Wilson has been an employee of Salt Lake City
Corporation for 50 years, many of which he has served as the Water Depart-
ment/Superintendent; and
General
WHEREAS, during Mr. Wilson's employment he has worked with extreme
diligence and devotion to his duty for the City, many times working on days
off and beyond the regular 8 hours each work day normally required of such
employees; and
WHEREAS, he has initiated and continues many on going programs and
activities which have improved and will continue to improve the production
and high quality of water for residents of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake
County; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson has served faithfully on many water company and
related Boards of Directors and is presently serving as presides t, chair-
man or Board of Director member of twelve water related compan5 or
organizations in his capacity as a representative of the Salt Lake City
Water Department; and
WHEREAS, under his leadership Salt Lake City's water system has
received the highest rating available from the United States Environmental
Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Salt Lake and the residents of Salt Lake County,
owe Mr. Wilson a debt of gratitude for his faithful devotion to duty and
concern for the production and service of high quality water to the resi-
dents of the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, on behalf of themselves and all the residents of Salt Lake City,
that it does hereby express its sincere appreciation, gratitude and pride
in Mr. Charles W. Wilson's long, faithful and enviable record of diligent
and faithful service to the residents of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake
County, and does hereby commend Mr. Charles W. Wilson for his outstanding
leadership ability and his responsible and faithful attitude toward and
the way in which he performs his work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to
Mr. Charles W. Wilson as a commendation to himself and to his family.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, this 11th day
of August', 976
