RESOLUTION .
A RFSOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL THE REAL AND PERSONAL
' PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, MADE TAXABLE BY LAP.', FOR THE YEAR
1915.
Be it rdsolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper
expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government, there
be, and there is hereby levied upon all the real end personal
property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the fiscal
year ending December 31, 1915, a tax of thirteen (13) mills per
each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
Said tax is hereby levied and is to be raised for the following
purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes in the
following manner:
CONTINGENT EXPENSES.
To defray contingent expenses, four and nine-twelftba(4-
mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
WATER SUPPLY AND WATERWORKS.
To purchase water sources, streams and the land upon which
such streams are appropriated, and canals; to construct waterworks,
and to supply water for irrigation and other purposes,
one-half (1/2) mills on each dollar assessed
valuation of said property.
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS.
To open, improve and repair streets and sidewalks, four and
five-sixths (4-5/6) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of
said property.
INTEREST ON BONDS AND SINKING FUND.
For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds, end to
constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal of the

same, two (2) mills on each dollar assessed valuation
of said property.
SEvERS AID DRAINS.
To construct and repair sewers end drains, one-half(1)
of a mill on each dollar of assessed valuation of said property.
LIBRARY.
To maintain Public Library and Free Reading Room, five_
twelfths (5/12) of a mill on each dollar assessed valuation of
said property
This resolution shall take effect upon its passage .

1915.
