Green -- i :711 irman ....... • Result RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on Saturday. June 11th, 1921, the most dangerous and disastrous fire in the history,of Salt Lake City broke out at the plant of the Utah Oil Refining Company, imperiling the lives of hundreds of our citizens and threatening with destruction millions of dollars mirth of property; and WHEREAS, in a spirit of neighborly love and with a sincere desire to aid in saving life and property, the citizens of Murray and Bountiful and the officers and members of the Fort Douglas fire department did, in this our hour of need, rush to our aid with every available man and piece of fire apparatus, while the cities of Ogden and Midvale, with the same noble desire, held their men and fire fighting equipment ready to respond at a moments notice should their services be needed; E. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners that a vote of thanks be extended to the officials and citizens in general of our neighboring cities of Murray, Bountiful, Ogden and Midvale, and to the officers and members of the Fort Douglas fire department for the unselfish and efficient services rendered in this grave emergency; to the volunteer workers from the Oil Company employees, to the city police officers and to all citizens who in any way aided in the dangerous work of fighting this disastrous conflagration; and { BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners extend to the bereaved families and friends of Walter Romney, J r., George K. Larrabee and John M.
