Results
WHEREAS, Western Air Lines Ina. did on the nineteenth
day of June, 1950, file with the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington
D. C., an application for authorisation to operate a connecting
air line service between Salt Lake City, Utah, and Rapid City,
South Dakota, via Casper, Wyoming, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City are sincerely convinced that the above mentioned applica-
tion will greatly add to the public convenience and necessity of
J t I V air travel from Salt Lake City to Minneapolis and St. Paul, Min-
rynesota, and will be a needed asset to the well integrated air
transportation system for the Western United States, and in time
G a,Q of way add materially to our national preparednesa program, and
WHEREAS, there are now pending numerous other applications

before the Honorable Civil Aeronautics Board,
NOV THEREFORE SE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Board of
1 Salt Lake City Commissioners on behalf of the City of Salt Lake
respectfully urge the Civil Aeronautice Board to give favorable
consideration to the petition of Western Air Lines Inc. above
referred to and if possible, to expedite the said hearing on such
petition as rapidly and conveniently as possible.
