WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is in the course of constructing
sewage treatment facilities and as a part thereof.,is about to
construct a pump station and force mains; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare,
Public Health Service, has submitted an Offer and Acceptance
of Federal Grant for Sewage Treatment Works, Project No.
WPC-Utah-39, Under 33 U.S.C. 466 et seq., of $32,791.00 based
upon an estimated project cost for Federal participation of
$110,054.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City is
desirous of accepting said offer on behalf of said city, and
it is to the interest of said city to accept the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY that the above mentioned offer of Federal grant
be, and the same hereby is, accepted and the Mayor and City
Recorder be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to
execute the written forms attached hereto covering said offer as
submitted and to transmit to the Utah Water Pollution Control
Board the said forms so executed, together with certified copies
of this Resolution as required.
