60 of 1980 - INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENTWITH MIDVALE CITY - providing for Midvale City’s obtaining from the/ ' RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY AND MIDVALE CITY. WHEREAS, Midvale City is desirous of obtaining from City those services from Salt Lake City's Data Processing Department necessary to assist it in operating a police inquiry system similar to Salt Lake City's system. WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is willing to provide such services; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of Salt Lake City to aid and assist Midvale as well as other municipalities within the Valley in order to help strengthen law enforcement throughout this area and develop good will with its neighboring communities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-13-1, et seq., Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended, the parties as public agencies may contract with each other to perform governmental services, activities, or undertakings which each party is authorized by law to perform. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City that it does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute the attached Agreement with Midvale City providing for Midvale City's obtaining from the Salt Lake City Data Processing Department the necessary services to establish a police inquiry system similar to the system used by Salt Lake City.
