A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL THE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, MADE TAXABLE BY LAW, FOR THE YEAR 1914. Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and propere^ , expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government, there be, and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the fisoa year ending December 31, 1914, a tax of thirteen (13) mills per each dollar assessed valuation of said property. Said tax is hereby levied and is to be raised for the followi.• purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes in the following manner: CONTINGENT EXPENSES. To defray contingent expenses, four and three-stlths (4 3/6) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property WATER SUPPLY AND WATERWORKS. To purchase water sources, streams and the land upon which such streams are appropriated, and canals; to oonstruot waterworks and to supply water for irrigation and other purposes, one and ie 6/6-eurur-sixths (L 4/G) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of sai. property. STREETS AND SIDEWALKS. 7 To open, improve and repair streets and sidewalks, four,,(</- mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. INTEREST ON BONDS AND SINKING FUND. For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds, and to con- stitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal of the sam-, two (2) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. -1- SEWERS AND DRAINS. To construct and repair sewers and drains, three-sixths (3/6) of a mill on each dollar of assessed valuation of said property. LIBRARY.
