LUT ION ` Result / WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City have determined that as of July 1, 1976, the City should be self-insured in certain areas where liability exists as a result of a govern- mental immunity statutes passed by the legislature of the State of Utah; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of extending authorization to the City Attorney's Office to handle and settle certain of these claims. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, that the City Attorney and any of his assistants or deputies are hereby authorized to settle claims against the City and for which the City has legal liability under the governmental immunity statutes of the State of Utah, up to the sum of $500 with or without referring the matter to an adjustment service and without prior Commission approval.
