MORRIS, Commissioner of Streets & Public Improvements, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Sir:- You will note from attached copy of resolu- tion regarding advertising for bids in Paving Extension No. 74, that same is to be advertised "according to specifications for paving work heretofore approved by the former City Council." We would respectfully request that said ad- vertising specify "in accordance with paving specifica- tions for 1912", or if impossible to do so, that said advertising be deferre until revised specifications for 1912 have been approved. Very respectfully, CITY ENGINEER. DHB-FMH RESOLUTION . WHEREAS, under date of April 23, 1912, a resolution was adopted ordering the work on Paving Extension No. 74, for the resurfacing of 2nd South Street between Main and State Streets, in accordance With- specifications for paving work heretofore approved by the former City Council; and WIIEREAS, it is desirous that all paving work done this year be according to specifications approved this date; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the action of the Board of Commissioners of April 23, 1912, be rescinded, and that the work on Paving Extension No. 74 be ordered done under the supervision of the Supervisor of the Department of Streets F: Public Ifforovements, and according to the specifications for paving work approved April 25th, 1912, and that the Board of Commissioners proceed to advertise for bids for making such improvement, for a period of twenty days, in accordance therewith.
