RESOLUTION.
Result
WHEREAS, by ordinances passed on July 21, 1914, the Board of
Commissioners of Salt Lake City has provided for the annual inspection
of electric signs, and of awnings, shades and balconies, extending and
projecting over and above the sidewalks, and has fixed an annual fee
to be paid for such inspection by the person owning or maintaining
such structures:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City:
THAT fifty per cent of the moneys received by Salt Lake City
from the said annual inspection fees be set aside as a fund for the
purpose of paying such damages as may be hereafter adjudged against
said City by reason of the negligent construction, operation or main-
tenance of the said signs, awnings, shades and balconies, until such
as
fund shall have reached the sum of .75c7 d ,w dollars.
