RESULT - -
RESOLUTION .
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is desiroup of re-constructing a part
' of the County Road known es Beck Street, running north past Beck's
Hot Springs to the city limits; and
WHEREAS, In order to do so it is necessary that said road be
constructed over a part of the property belonging to James Breen;
and
WHEREAS, Said. James Breen entered into a verbal agreement
with Hon. John S. Bransfbrd, then II ayor of Salt Lake City, that
he would deed to the city that strip of land desired by the city
for the road, in return for the city deeding to him that portion
of the old county road thus abandoned; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City has constructed said road on the
property of said James Breen as aforesaid:
NO7 THEREFORE, Bo it resolved, That upon the execution and
delivery of a deed from the said James Breen and Elizabeth Breen,
his wife, to the city for the property used for said road, the
Mayor and City Recorder be, and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to execute and deliver a quit claim deed to said James
Breen to that certain part of the old county road in the southwest
quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 14, Tounchip 1 north,
Range 1 west, Salt Lake Meridian, and in the northwest quarter of
the southeast quarter of Section 14, Township 1 north, Range 1
west, abandoned as aforesaid.
