BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: THAT the reservoir site on the 2ort Douglas Military Reser- vation which Salt Lake City desires to obtain to aid it in conserving its water supply is the reservoir site lying wholly north of Afth South Street , which site is shown on map prepared by City Engineer and is described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the North line of fifth South street produced, and the line of the United States Government's fence dividing the grounds of the University of Utah and the Military Reservation, this point being also 1711.48 feet East and 63.37 feet North of the City Monument at the intersection of Thirteenth East Street and Fifth South Street ; thence N. 0° 02' 39" West, 400.0 feet; running thence South 89° 59' 54" East, 712.44 feet to the center line of the Parley's Canyon Conduit ; running thence South 190 34' East, along said center line of conduit , 424.52 feet; running thence North 89° 59' 54" West, 854.30 feet to place of beginning, containing 7.193 acres. BE IT TURTNFIR RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salt Lake City, be and he hereby is authorized and directed for and in behalf of said City, to make application to the United States Government for said reservoir site and in the name of said city to make and sign any a gree- ment or stipulation to the effect that said Salt Lake City will not interfere with, harm or in any wise damage or prejudice the reservoir or water rights of Mt .
