Gre Hogensen /I; � Phillips r RESOLUTION Result A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT, DESIGNATING A NAME THEREFOR, DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF, AND SPECIFYING THE TYPES OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED THEREIN. WHEREAS, not less than ten percent (10%) of the taxpayers owning real property located in the Ensign Downs area of Salt Lake City and/or not less than ten percent of the qualified voters residing in the territory proposed to be included in the service area, subject of this resolution, have heretofore filed a petition with the Salt Lake City Commission requesting the initiation of proceedings for the establish- ment of a service area in Salt Lake City, the boundaries of which area are hereafter specified; and WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners hereby finds and deter- mines that the public health, convenience and necessity requires the establishment of a service district to provide the services specified herein to the residents of the city residing within the area of the city specified herein and that said services and functions be paid for only by the residents and/or property owners of said area, and WHEREAS, to accomplish the foregoing purpose the Board proposes to create a special service district covering the entire area and empowered to provide the services specified herein, as permitted by the Utah Special Service District Act, Title 11, Chapter 23, U.C.A. 1953, as amended. THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. A special service district is proposed to be created pursuant to law and shall be named Salt Lake City Service District No. 3-W-1. 2. The specific improvements and services proposed to be provided within and by the proposed service area shall consist of recreational, drainage, flood control, conservation and beautification facilities and improvements and services related thereto. -3- • 3. The boundary of the proposed City Service District No. 3-W-1 consists of that line enclosing the combined areas of the Recorded Ensign Downs Subdivision Plats "A", "B", "D", "E" and "F", including the enclosed church, school and park areas, and seven non-subdivision lots located along the East side of East Capitol Boulevard adjacent to and South of Lot 1, Block 6, Ensign Downs Subdivision Plat "A". This area is located mostly within the South 1/2 of Section 30, T1N, R1E, with a few lots in the NE 1/4, SE 1/4 of Section 25, T1N, R1W, Salt Lake Meridian.
