O/ WHEREAS, the 1969 Utah Legislature authorized Salt Lake City to create a fifth City Judge position in Salt Lake City; and WHEREAS, the City Court of Salt Lake City has had an increase in the number of cases; and WHEREAS, the City Court is now unable to process its work in a speedy and judicious manner because of such work burdens; and WHEREAS, this honorable Commission has appointed Mr. Robert C. Gibson to fulfill said position effective the 1st day of January, 1970; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY,UTAH, that a Judge Pro Tem be appointed to assist in the work load in the City Court of Salt Lake City until such appointment of Robert C. Gibson takes effect, and this Board requests the Salt Lake County Bar Association to supply and furnish attorneys to serve without pay in the capacity of Judge Pro Tem.
