A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF $832.20 FROM THE
CONTINGENCY FUND FOR VETERAN'S GRAVE MARKER FLAGS.
WHEREAS, the United Veteran's Council has requested a
contribution from the City in the amount of $832.20 for the
Veterans Grave Marker Flag Honorarium in Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is supportive of the contributing
to the grave marker proposal set forth by the United Veteran's
Council; however, the requested expenditure was unanticipated by
the City at the time of adoption of its 1980-81 fiscal year
budget and said budget therefore does not contain an
appropriation for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council has established a non-
departmental contingency fund to finance unanticipated
expenditures for fiscal year 1980-81; and
WHEREAS, expenditures from said fund are subject to City
Council authorization and approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Salt Lake
City, that the grave marker funding request referred to herein,
in the amount of $832.20, is hereby approved for payment from the
City's non-departmental Contingency fund, subject to such
specifications and restrictions as may be imposed by the Parks
Superintendent.
