WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain additional property for the
widening of west 400 South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of the parcel of real property hereinafter described to widen said street
for the convenience and necessity of the City and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City,
and its inhabitants, that the City, for the use of the public, acquire the
below-described property for widening of west 400 South Street;
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof is here-
by determined to be necessary for said improvements as hereinabove describes
That condemnation proceedings be and the same hereby are authorized
to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City Corporation by the Law Depart-
ment of Salt Lake City, to acquire thereby all land hereinafter described
for the necessary planned expansion and construction involved in the
widening of west 400 South Street as hereinabove set forth;
That the parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by condem-
nation proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the
State of Utah relating to eminent domain is situated in the County of Salt
Lake, State of Utah, and is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 3, Amended
Plat of Golden Park Sub of Section 2, Township 1 South, Range
1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, and running thence North
8 feet; thence East 40 feet; thence South 8 feet; thence West
40 feet to the point of beginning.
PASSED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, this
14th day of June, 1977.
