■ RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
Result
WHEREAS, Jacob Westbrook was appointed on February 1, 1972, by
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, to serve as
cemetery superintendent at the Salt Lake City Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Westbrook has served in his appointment as
cemetery superintendent continuously since 1972, and in this
capacity has contributed significantly to the operation and environ-
ment of the cemetery; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Westbrook has rendered many hours of unpaid
community service beyond his responsibilities at the cemetery,
including active participation in the Elks Boys Club and other
organizations dedicated to the growth and development of young
people; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Westbrook is retiring from city service effective
October 1, 1979, which retirement is reluctantly accepted by this
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, that the Board does hereby express to Jacob Westbrook
on behalf of itself and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake
City its sincere appreciation and gratitude for his devoted and
capable services, his untiring efforts for the past eight years to
beautify and improve the city cemetery. The Board wishes him well
in his future pursuits and hopes he will derive satisfaction from
the beauty of the cemetery knowing that he has played an important
role in its beautification, revitalization and development.
