IResult
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of Salt Lake City deems it
advisable to be empowered in the case of an emergency to call to
his aid a sufficient number of male citizens of Salt Lake City to
adequately deal with such emergency; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
feel that any person called to the aid of Salt Lake City in such
en emergency should be adequately protected as an employee of
Salt Lake City under the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation
Act of Utah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police
of Salt Lake City be and he is hereby authorized to call to his
aid any number of male citizens of Salt Lake City necessary to
adequately deal with any emergency, and that each and every person
so called shall be commissioned as a police officer of Salt Lake
City for that purpose, and that the Chief of Police report to the
board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City the number of men called
and that each and every person named in said report shall be pro-
tected as an employee of Salt Lake City under the provisions of
the Workmen's Compensation Act of Utah.
