RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY OF FLORENCE ROSINA CORNELL KNIGHT.
WHEREAS, Fxorence Rosina Cornell Knight, widow of former Salt Lake City
Commissioner John M. Knight, died Saturday, March 21, 1964; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Knight had dedicated her long and fruitful life to the
service of her family, church and this community; and
WHEREAS, she served with marked distinction as a church and civic
leader; and
WHEREAS, she also rendered valuable assistance to the civic and com-
munity leadership provided by her husband in governmental activity; and
WHEREAS, her passing is a great loss not only to her family, but to
this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it express to the bereaved family of Florence Rosina Cornell
Knight its sincere and deepest sympathy, and that it pay tribute to her for
her devoted service to her family, her church and this community, and to the
many persons who have come under her inspiring influence.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Recorder forward a copy of this
Resolution to the family of Florence Rosina Cornell Knight.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 24th
day of March, 1964. ,
