Result
RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, Harold B. Lee passed from this life on the 26th day of
December, 1973, at the age of 74; and
WHEREAS, he has devoted his life to the welfare of mankind; and
WHEREAS, he was a man of vision who gave outstanding leadership
and love to members of his church and the community; and
WHEREAS, he will always be remembered for his faith in our govern-
mental processes, taking an active roll therein serving during two
terms as a Salt Lake City Commissioner and for the active roll he took
in encouraging faith and taking part in that governmental process; and
WHEREAS, he was the spiritual leader of millions, revered by people
the world over as a prophet, seer and revelator; and
WHEREAS, in his passing, the City of Salt Lake, the State of Utah,
the Nation and the world have lost a most distinguished citizen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express to his family on
its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City its deep
and sincere appreciation for the life and deeds of President Harold B.
Lee and the many rich contributions he has made toward improving the
welfare of the residents of Salt Lake City and the world.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered
to Mrs. Harold B. Lee as an expression of our sympathy for the loss she
and the remaining family have sustained in his passing.
