RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, charges involving the honor and integrity of
W. E. Farr, Sealer of Weights and Measures, have been made before
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has given complainants ample
• opportunity to be heard and has carefully considered the matter -
from every point of view; and
WHEREAS, no evidence whatever has been presented tending
. to show collusion with any scale repairer or any other act of
dishonesty in the conduct of his office; and
WHEREAS the whole trouble seems to have arisen from
• an abrupt or officious manner on the part of the Sealer of
Weights and Measures from which the complainants have taken
offence; therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the said W. E. Farr be, and he is com—
pletely exonerated from every charge of graft or dishonesty in
the conduct of his office; and
RESOLVED further that the said Sealer of Weights and
Measures be admonished to treat all business men with whom he is
forced to come in contact in the discharge of his official
duties with due courtesy and consideration for the presence of
customers poolow4 when it becomes necessary to correct or condemn
scales or measures.
