WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain additional property for the
widening of California Avenue between Montgomery Street and Redwood
Road in Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of the real property hereinafter described to widen and improve
California Avenue for the convenience and necessity of the City and
its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City
and its inhabitants, that the City, for the use and expansion and
widening of California Avenue between Montgomery Street and Redwood
Road in Salt Lake City, acquire the below described property;
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof, is
hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements as hereinabove
described;
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are authorized
to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of
Salt Lake City, to acquire thereby all land hereinafter described for
the necessary construction in connection with the widening of California
Avenue between Montgomery Street and Redwood Road as hereinabove set
forth;
The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by condemnation
proceedings in accordance with provisions of the laws of the State of
Utah, relating to eminent domain, are situated in the County of Salt
Lake, State of Utah, and are more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL 1:
Beginning at a point 621.37 feet N 89°55'56" E
and 31.03 feet N 0°04'04" W from the South quarter
corner of Section 10, T 1S, R 1W, SLB & M, thence

S 89°55'56" W 191.42 feet, thence N 0°04'04" W 13.89
feet to a point on a 614.80 foot radius curve, radial
bearing N 9°08'15" E, thence Southeasterly along said
curve 98.78 feet to a point of tangency which bears
N 89°55'56" E, thence N 89°55'56" E 93.32 feet, thence
S 2°21'36" W 5.98 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2:
Beginning at a point 429.95 feet N 89°55'56" E and
31.03 feet N 0°04'04" W from the South quarter
corner of Section 10, T 1S, R 1W, SLB & M, thence
S 89°55'56" W 15.0 feet, thence N 0°04'04" W 16.51
feet to a point on a 614.80 foot radius curve,
radial bearing N 10°33'24" E thence Southeasterly
along said curve 15.23 feet to a point which radial
bearing is N 9°08'15" E, thence S 0°04'04" E 13.89
feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 3:
Beginning at a point 414.95 feet N 89°55'56" E and
31.03 feet N 0°04'04" E from the South quarter
corner of Section 10, T 1S, R 1W, SLB & M, thence
S 89°55'56" W 71.5 feet, thence N 0°04'04" W 34.42
feet to a point on a 614.80 foot radius curve,
radial bearing N 17°25'48" E thence Southeasterly
along said curve 73.75 feet to a point which radial
bearing is N 10°33'24" E, thence S 0°04'04" E
16.51 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 4:
Beginning at a point 343.45 feet N 89°55'56" E
and 31.03 feet N 0°04'04" W from the South quarter
corner of Section 10, T 1S, R 1W, SLB & M, thence
S 89°55'56" W 211.26 feet, thence N 29°54'10" W
129.38 feet, thence S 80°15'06" E 65.44 feet to
a point on a 694.80 foot radius curve to the right
radial bearing being S 9°44'54" W, thence along
said curve 161.462 feet to a point of reverse
curve to the left, radial bearing being N 23°03'47"
E and radius being 614.80 feet, thence along said
curve 60.44 feet, thence S 0°04'04" E 34.42 feet
to the point of beginning.
