HomeMy WebLinkAbout71 of 1980 - Resolution that the Council requests and recommends that the Mayor determine the future needs of Sal/ RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council is concerned about the capacity of the sewage treatment equipment in Salt Lake City; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council realizes that future needs of Salt Lake City will include an increased capacity for sewage treatment; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council recognizes that any new facilities for sewage treatment must be planned well in advance; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council must budget the necessary funding and establish plans for acquiring funding if new facilities must be built; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council requests and recommends that the Mayor determine the future needs of Salt Lake City for sewage treatment, examine alternative plans for immediate additional treatment, and present to the Council, no later than January 15, 1981, recommendations for action relating to the City's current and future sewage treatment funding needs. Passed by the Council of Salt Lake City, this 7th day of October , 1980.
