Lawr % /</)6° /� / Mr. Chairman Result RESOLUTION . { WHEREAS, The mighty and venerable Wizard of the Wasatch has I� I left his haunts among the snow-dapped peaks of the Rockies, and is jI now, together with his queen and retinue, a welcome guest of our fair city; and WHF;REAS, The Wards of the Wizard of the Wasatch have provided for certain street parades upon the streets of Salt Lake City, in honor of the annual visit of said Wizard of the Wasatch, upon the evenings of Thursday and Friday, August 27th and 28th, 1914; and WHEREAS, It becomes necessary to impose restrictions upon the , use of the streets of Salt Lake City during the times that the loyal subjects of the Wizard of the Wasatch are parading upon the streets of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of preserving order and ' protecting the inhabitants of said city; NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That the following named streets be, and the same are hereby declared closed to traffic of all kinds , and to the ordinary uses of said streets between the hours of 6:30 o'clock P. M. and 9 I o'clock P. M. on Thursday, August 27th, and ?riday, August 28, 191 , to-wit: State Street from Lifth South Street north to South Temple Street; South Temple Street from State Street to Main Street; Main Street from South Temple Street to Sixth South Street ; and that the Wards of the Wizard of the Wasatch be, and the same are hereb given the privilege of parading on said above designated streets ` at the times mentioned; and /i_f_c4,6_,:c_ ,ca,,/J_7/:, Be it further resolved that^ the Chief of Police of Salt Lake I City be, and he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to -1- lose said streets to the ordinary uses thereof in accordance with !this resolution; and to take all Precautions and do all things P I necessary by roping off and patrolling the same, and by regulating Ithe use of the same, for the purpose of preserving order and preven-t- ing all accident and injury to the inhabitants of said city.
