RESOLUTION .
In the matter of Petition No. 850, E. R. Morgan, State Road
Engineer, asking for permission to transport material purchased
from J. W. Mellen for the concrete road between Salt Lake City and
Murray, ever lines of the Utah Light and Traction Company:
Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
That the petition above mentioned be filed, and the State Road
Commission be, and it is hereby granted permission during the
pleasure of the Board of Commissioners to transport gravel from the
gravel pit of J. W. Mellen, situated north of Seventh North Street
and east of Second West Street, for concrete road construction on
State Street, over the streets of the City hereinafter set out,
upon which the Utah Light and Traction Company has oar tracks.
That said gravel shall only be transported over the following
streets, to-wit:
Commencing on Seventh North Street east of Second West Street
where the switch from the gravel pit of the said Mellen connects
with the tracks of the Utah Light and Traction Company on said
Seventh North Street; thence west to Second Wept Street; thence
south on Seoond West Street to First North Street; thence east on
First North Street to West Temple Street; thence south on West
Temple Street to Ninth South Street; thence east on Ninth South
Street to State Street; thence south on State Street to the City
limits 'a at Eleventh South Street.
