RESOLUTION 0.' INTENTION
79 ESTABLISH H LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. Td0.
BE I : RESOLVED by the Board of Coainisioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
iiThat the public interest& nd convenience require, and that
it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
Ito order the following improvement to be made in said City, namely:
That there shall be established in said City under the
authority and provisions of Chapter 96 of the laws of Utah of 1915,
a lighting district to be known as Lighting District No. Two, which
shall comprise both sides of :.Sin Street from the south line of
South Temple Street to the north line of fifth South Street. And
!the lots, nieces and subdivisions of ground fronting and abutting
pn said ;lain Street within said limits shall be assessed according
to the benefits received from said improvement to pay the costs
i)nd expenses thereof•' the said Sighting District No. Two shall be
mproved by the erection and maintenance of fourteen appropriate
Ibtendards of special design in each block along Lain Street (seven
ste td.ards to be on each side in each block) in saia district, said
standards t: be about 110 feet apart and each standard to carry
hree inverted ornamented 6.6 ampere luminous arc lampa, and said
IL amps, 210 in number, to be supplied with electric current for the
llumination of the same from fifteen minutes before dusk until
Midnight, four lamps in each block, however, to be lighted all
sight. The circuits for the operation of the said system of lamps
hall be undergr)unu. h part of the cost and expense of making
'he said improvement and of maintaining the same, amounting to
rproalmately twelve per cent of such cost, shall be paid from the
eneral fund of Salt Lake Oity. The said improvement shall be
,aintained for the period of three years.

The said proposed improvement is hereby referred to the City
Engineer of Salt Lake City, and he is hereby directed to make and
file with the City Recorder a report in writing containing the
following particulars:
1. Plans and specifications for the work required for sal.
improvement.
2-An estimate of the coat of said improvement and of the
incidental expenses in connection therewith.
3. A diagram showing the said proposed improvement district
and the boundaries and dimensions of the respective lots, parcels
or subdivisions of land therein, each of which subdivisions shall
I be given a sep, rete number in red ink upon said diagram.
h. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs
and expenses of the proposed improvement upon the several subdivi.iona
of lend in said district in proportion to the estimated benefit to
be received by such subdivisions, respectively, from said improve-
ment, first deducting from such total estimated cost and epenses
t of said improvement approximately twelve per cent thereof to be
paid end borne bythe City oc salt Lake. Paid proposed assessment
1j shall refer to such subdivisions upon said diagram for the respec-
tive red ink numbers thereon, and shall show the names of the
owners thereof, if known, otherwise de igniting them as -known.
