BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY,
UTAH:
WHEREAS, Bishop Duane 0. Mont, Bi,choo of the Salt Lake City
Diocese of the Ronan Catholic Church, passed away on Thursday, March 31,
1960, A. D.; and
WHEREAS, he had served his church faithfully and with high honor
and distinction as bishop, teacher, director of youth and spiritual advisor
and leader;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resalqed that the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City does hereby pay tribute to Bishop Hunt for hts integrity
and his devotion to his church and for his great accomplishments in office,
for the endless pnttence and great resourcefulness with which he worked for
the best interests of his churl, for the love and friendship which he had
for his fellow workers, citizens and members of the community. He was a
servant of the people, faithful to his church, in which he held high office,
and to those principles of the Sa.v1our of Mankind which are so sorely needed.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be delivered
to Bishop Joseph L. Federal, Bishop of the Diocese of Salt Lcke City, with
an expression of our sympathy and ow sincere appreciation for the contribu-
tions of Bishop Hunt to the welfare sod advancement of the Roman Catholic
Church and Salt Lake City,
