OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Earl Middlemiss, has been employed by Salt Lake City
Corporation since July 1923, a period spanning 451/2 years; and
WHEREAS, he will retire March 5, 1969, as Water Distributive
Serviceman II; and
WHEREAS, he has faithfully served Salt Lake City and its resi-
dents through selfless extra effort contributions of work and
sacrifice, including working overtime without compensation to repair
broken watermains, even in winter; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City and its residents owe him a debt of
gratitude for his years of faithful and dependable service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express its most sincere
and heart felt appreciation for jobs well done and a life well lived.
Tne said Board further extends to him its best wishes for a long,
productive, and enjoyable period of retirement.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this
resolution to Mr. Middlemiss.
