WHEREAS it is necdssary to obtain additional property for
widening of 400 South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the
acquisition of the real property hereinafter described for the
convenience and necessity of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt
Lake City and its inhabitants that the City, for the widening
of 400 South Street acquire the below described property located
at approximately 1280 West 400 South Street, in Salt Lake City,
Utah;
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof,
is hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements as here-
inabove described;
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the
Law Department of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all land
hereinafter described for the necessary construction and widening
of 400 South Street as hereinabove set forth.
The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by
condemnation proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the
laws of the State of Utah relating to Eminent Domain are situated
in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and are more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 3,
Jordan Place Sub of Section 2, Township 1 South, Range
1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian and running thence
West 125 feet; thence North 8 feet; thence East 125
feet; thence South 8 feet to the point of beginning.
