A RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, Mr. Thad B. Emery retired from his employment with
Salt Lake City Corporation on July 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, Thad had been a faithful, efficient and dedicated
city employee for more than 34 years; and
WHEREAS, during his long tenure with the City he had earned
the respect,love and admiration of all with whom he came in
contact, including fellow employees and the city residents with
whom he dealt; and
WHEREAS, after a lengthy illness he passed from this life
on December 12, 1976; and
WHEREAS, all who knew and respected him share the loss with
his family;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY that the Board does hereby express to Florence,
his wife, and the other immediate members of his family, their
deep sense of loss and sorrow at his passing. The Board, on behalf
of itself and the residents of Salt Lake City, express their most
earnest prayer that the family may be comforted in this hour of
bereavement. May they be comforted with the knowledge that the
Board and Thad's many friends share in their loss and warmed with
the knowledge that many individual lives have been brightened and
enriched through their acquaintarireship with Thad.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered
to the family of Thad Emery as an expression of the sincere sympathy
of the Board and the fellow employees of Salt Lake City.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 14th day of December, 1976.
