86 of 1978 - Appointing the Fifth Circuit Committee for the Arts as the official committee to collect and disburs 'ROLL CALL VOTING Aye Nay Salt Lake City,Utah,,_— \\\\ October 31 1978 r ✓. ` -., Mr.Chairman Agraz — I move that the Resolution be adopted. \� Greener • Hall -.)At" ` Gl �r` % Tom' Phillips � RESOLUTION Result l/ WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation is building a new building to house the courts; and WHEREAS, the cost of the building is such that there will be no money for decorations; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake County Bar Association Auxiliary is desirous of providing art for the building to make the building pleasing asthetically; and WHEREAS, the said organization is known as the Fifth Circuit Court Committee for the Arts; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of making the building both asthetically beautiful as well as functional; and WHEREAS, furnishing of the Courts Building is exclusively a public purpose; and WHEREAS, asthetics play an important part in setting the tone for a public building especially for a building as functional and as open to the public as the Courts Building. NOW, THEREFORE, Salt Lake City Corporation hereby appoints the Salt Lake County Bar Auxiliary Organization known as the Fifth Circuit Court Committee for the Arts as its committee for the fur- nishing of the Courts Building and hereby gives committee full authorization to collect and disburse funds donated for the public purpose of providing art for the Courts Building. Said committee shall keep detailed books, accounts and records and make them available upon request for audit by the Salt Lake City Auditor and by the outside auditor required by law to review the expenditures of Salt Lake City Corporation.
