RESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain additional property for the expansion of
the Salt Lake City International Airport; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition of the
real property hereinafter described to expand said Airport for the convenience
and necessity of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE
CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City and its
inhabitants, that the City, for the use and expansion and additional constructio
of its Salt Lake City International Airport acquire the below-described property
located west of said Airport in Salt Lake City; and
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof, is hereby
determined to be necessary for said imrpovements as hereinabove described; and
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are, authorized to be
bought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of Salt Lake City, tc
acquire thereby all lands hereinafter described for the necessary construction
and expansion of the Salt Lake City International Airport as hereinabove set
forth; and
That the parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by the condemnatic
proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of Utah
relating to eminent domain, are situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of
Utah, and are more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point South 0°04'54" east 466.0 feet of the northeast
corner of Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and
Meridian, and running thence south 0°04'54" east 125.0 feet; thence south
89°55'42" west 350.0 feet; thence north 0°44'54" west 125.0 feet; thence
north 89°55'42" east 350.0 feet to the point of beginning.
Together with a right of way over the following:
Beginning at a northeast corner of Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 1
West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, and running thence south 0°04'54" east
466 feet; thence south 89°55'42" west 25 feet; thence north 0°04'54" west
466 feet; thence north 89°55'42" east 25 feet to the point of beginning.
