Burton Green • • Stewart yi Mr. Chairman.. • Result RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the northern end of Salt Lake City is growing very rapidly and the property lying west of Beck Street and between 10th North and 13th North Streets is available for building purposes for indUitries, stores, warehouses and other desirable buildings; and WHEREAS, between the said 10th North Street and 13th North Street there is no street serving the said district or area as an outlet to Beck Street; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City hereby declare it neoessary for the public good that there be such s street constructed as to furnish the said area with a proper and good and sufficient outlet or means of ingress and egress to and from the said area; and WHEREAS, in order to provide such a street the Board of Commissioners hereby declare it necessary for the public good that a street be opened up over what would be approximately 11i North, said jroposed street to be known as Clara Avenue; and. WHEREAS, in opening up such street it will be necessary to secure an easement over certain private property and also across the tracks of the Bamberger Electric tlailway Company. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Attoraey be and he is hereby instructed and directed to bring Bait against the owners of the property hereinafter described for the purpose of acquiring an easement over said lands for said street for Salt Lake City by condem- nation, and Da is further hereby instructed and directed to petition and secure parmissian from the Utilities Commission of Utah for said street to cross the tracks of the Bamberger Electric Railway Company, said lands being the following, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the West line of Section 25, Township 1 North, Range 1 West of the g Salt Lake Base and Meridian, and 957 feet South of the Northwest section corner thereof, which point of beginning is also the southeast corner of Block 6, of the Industrial Trackage Subdivision, as name is of record in the County heoorder's offioe of Salt Lake County; thence East 251.76 feet; thence South 70 00' East, 21.41 feet; thence South 6° 00' East 45 feet; thence West 259.07 feet to the West line of said Section 25; thence North 66 feet on said line to the point of beginning, containing 0.387 of an acre. Beginning at a point 957 feet South of and 251.76 feet East of the Northwest section cor- ner of said Section 25; thence East 39.04 feet; thence South 22° 00' West 71.18 feet; thence West 5.07 feet; thence North 6° 00' West 45 feet; thence North 7° 00' West 21.41 feet to point of beginning, containing 0.034 of an acre. Also beginning at a point 957 feet South of and 290.8 feet East from the aforesaid Northwest section corner of Section 25; thence East 225.28 feet; thence South 230 West 33.20 feet; thence South 22° West 38.22 feet; thence West 224.65 feet; thence North 22° East 71.18 feet to point of beginning, containing 0.341 of an acre. Also beginning at a point 957 feet South of and 516.08 feet East of said Northwest section corner of Section 25; thence Eaat 119.41 feet; thence • South 77° 00' West 135.87 feet; thence North 23° 00' East 33.2 feet to point of beginning, containing 0.042 of an acre. Also beginning at a point 957 feet South of 826.19 feet East of gad North 770 00' East 4744 feet from the northwest section corner of laid Section 25, said point being in the westerly right-of-way boundary of the Bomberger Electric Railroad; thence North 770 00' East 91 feet to a point in the easterly right-of-way boundary of said railway; thence South 440 00' East 77 feet along said easterly boundary; thenoe South 770 00' West 91 feet to point in said westerly right-of-way boundary; thence North 440 00' West 77 feet along said westerly right-of-way boundary to the point of beginning, containing 0.138 of am acre. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said City Attorney be and he is hereby instructed to commence such proceedings at once. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is eceasary to the peaoe, health and safety of the inhabitants of iSalt Lake City, Utah, that this reaolu'ti©n become-leffective at once.
