BE IT Ri 30LVd' By the Board of Commissioners of Jalt Lake City, Utah: That for the purpose of defraying- the necessary and proper expenses of Salt Lake City and maintaining" the Government thereof, there be and there is h ereby levied uon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, Utah, made taxable by law, for the fiscal year ending" :ecember 31, 1958, a tax of 18.5 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property for ialt Lake City plus 4. mill levy for water purification and sewarce disposal a-id 1. mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said oroerty for the Library hoard. Said tax is bereby levied and to be raised for the following" purposes and is and shall he apportioned to such purposes in the followinm manner: CONTINGEiNT .>X ENSES To defray continent expenses, three (3.) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. i^l:Gi T3 A?vl` 3u1ih ALKS To open, improve and repair streets and sidewalks, three (3.000) :'ills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. To defray the expense of sewers and drains, two (2.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said prooerty. • BOND AND INTEREST For the payment of outstanding bonds and interest, one (1.000) mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. AUDITOR To defray the expense of the Auditor, five tenths (.5) of a mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & PUBLIC PROPERTY To defray the expense of the Department of Parks and Public Property, two (2.000) mills on each dollar assessed valua- tion of said property. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS & FINANCE To defray the expense of the Department of Public Affairs and Finance, two (2.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY To defray the expense of the Department of Public Safety five (5.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. WATER PURIFICATION AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL For 'rater Purification and Sewage Disposal, four (4.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. LIBRARY BOARD To maintain public librark@s and reading rooms, one (1.000) mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this Resolutio n take effect upon its passage, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist so that said levy may be made and said tax collected as required by law. This Resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
