OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, George Glezos was employed by the Salt Lake City Water
Department June 16, 1939; and
WHEREAS, he has continuously and diligently worked for that
\ department for the past 29/ years; and
WHEREAS, he will retire February 28, 1969, as Water Maintenance
Man III; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure he has worked in nearly every facet
of Salt Lake City's water maintenance operation from hand digging
original water lines to repairing broken waterlines under emergency
conditions in fair and inclement weather; and
WHEREAS, he has long served Salt Lake City and its residents with
dependable and faithful effort; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City and its residents owe him a debt of
gratitude for his 291/2 years of devoted service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express to George Glezos
its sincere and deep appreciation for his long, dependable, and faith-
ful service to Salt Lake City and its residents. It is the Board's
further wish that he have and enjoy a long and enjoyable retirement
period.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this
resolution to Mr. Glezos.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 4th day of March , 1969. /2
