044 of 1998 - Creating a sign overlay district for Franklin Quest Baseball Stadium and amending the Salt Lake City0 98-1 P 98-36 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 44 of 1998 (Creating a sign overlay district for Franklin Quest Baseball Stadium and amending the Salt Lake City Zoning Code regarding the PL district sign ordinance, pursuant to Petition No. 400-98-5.) AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SIGN OVERLAY DISTRICT FOR FRANKLIN QUEST BASEBALL STADIUM AND AMENDING THE SALT LAKE CITY ZONING CODE REGARDING THE PL DISTRICT SIGN ORDINANCE, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-98-5. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Code Chapter 21A.46.130 provides for the creation of sign overlay districts; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Zoning Code contains regulations regarding the signs allowed in various districts; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds, after public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, that the City should create a sign overlay district for Franklin Quest Baseball Stadium, and that the portions of Salt Lake City Zoning Code which relate to the signs which would be allowed in that district should be amended as set forth herein, and that such action is in the best interest of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Salt Lake City Code Chapter 21A.46.130, a sign overlay district shall be and hereby is created for Franklin Quest Baseball Stadium. The property which shall be and hereby is included in that sign overlay district is more particularly described as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto. SECTION 2. The table set forth at Chapter 21A.46.120 E4 of the Salt Lake City Code shall be and hereby is amended as set forth on Exhibit "B" attached hereto. SECTION 3. To the extent necessary, the Salt Lake City Zoning Map shall be and hereby is amended consistent with this ordinance. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its first publication.
