AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, in response to the request pertaining to zoning
initiated by the State of Utah, said petition being known as
Petition No . 400-187 of 1984, the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the
Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen
testimony, planning , demographic details of the area, the City' s
master plan, and the proposed master plan for State office
complex as part of its own deliberation. Pursuant to these
deliberations, the Council has concluded that the proposed change
of zoning for the property located in the vicinity of 300 North
between 1500 and 1550 West from the existing "R-2A" to a
Residential "R-7" zoning classification is appropriate for the
development of the community and a State office -park complex as a
conditional use in that area.

Therefore, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of
Title 51 .

relating to the development of the proposed State Office Park
Project. If this ordinance and said documents are not recorded
within 12 months of the effective date of the publication of this
ordinance, said ordinance shall expire and be null and void and
shall be of no further effect. However, if the foregoing
conditions are not completed within 12 months of the date of
passage, this Ordinance shall be null and void and of no effect
and no recording thereafter shall be allowed .
