RESOLUTION NO. 129 OF 1987
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO AN INTERLOCAL
COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION AND
WEST VALLEY CITY
WHEREAS, Title 11 Chapter 13 of the Utah Code Annotated
1953 as amended allows public entities to enter into
agreements with one another for joint or cooperative action
subject to adoption of appropriate resolutions by the
governing bodies of the participating public entities; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation and West Valley
City entered into an interlocal agreement dated November 6,
1984 providing for fire and rescue dispatch services by Salt
Lake City Corporation to West Valley City; and
WHEREAS, the interlocal agreement between Salt Lake
City Corporation and West Valley City was approved by their
respective City Councils; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation and West Valley
City want to amend said interlocal agreement; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to
accomplish said amendment;•
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
1. That it does hereby approved the attached agreement
generally described as follows:
An amendment to a previously executed interlocal
cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City and West
•
Valley City whereby Salt Lake City provides fire and
rescue dispatch services to West Valley City.
2. Palmer A. DePaulis, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah
is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
Salt Lake City Corporation and to act in accordance with its
terms.
