AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN 1NT'ERLOCAL GRANT APPLICATION
BY SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION TO
THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OE HOUSING ANL) URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Title II, Chapter 13, Utah Code Ann., 1953, as
amended, allows public entities to enter cooperative agreements to
provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached application has been prepared to
accomplish said purpose;
TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah;
1. It does hereby approve the attached application generally
described as follows:
A grant application by Salt Lake City Corporation
to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for an Urban Development Action Grant
(UDAG) for the purpose of Salt Lake City
Corporation loaning said grant to Maxfield Candy
Company to expand their existing light
manufacturing operations at 1050 South 200 West.
2. Palmer A. DePaulis, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is
hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of
Salt Lake City Corporation and to forward it to the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development along with the final
completion of the application by the Capital Planning and
Programming Division, subject to approval as to form by the City
Attorney.
